Health
Health refers to the state of physical and mental being. This can be influenced by various factors such as lifestyle, personality, physiology, environment, social and cultural.
If any of these factors are positive then it is likely to result in a good quality of health; if they are negative, then the opposite is likely to happen which can have long term consequences. The ideal situation is whereby each individual enjoys a good state of health.
Unfortunately, this is not always the case, which can be due to a variety of reasons. Some of these are unavoidable, others can be spontaneous and a few are self-inflicted.
Negative factors such as cigarettes, alcohol and drugs can be addictive as well as damaging to health. Eating unhealthy food such as junk food, taking little or no exercise and avoiding any form of human contact can also be destructive.
Conversely, positive factors such as meeting with family and friends, engaging in a physical activity, healthy eating, creative and intellectual stimulation and doing charity work can improve one's state of health and a greater enjoyment of life.
Desiring good health both physical and mental, is an admirable goal and one that should be striven towards. As well as being a positive aim for the individual, it can also benefit society as it means less of a burden on healthcare and other such related sources.
